Your academic advisor is the best place to start making the most of your experience at the UK College of Education. You must schedule an advising appointment each semester in preparation for priority registration. Besides helping you prepare for priority registration, our faculty and professional staff advisors are happy to meet with you to answer questions and help map out the pathway to your chosen field.
To schedule an advising appointment, please follow the instructions below:
- Go to myUK and go to Degree Planning & Registration (myUKGPS).
- Look for your advisor to the right under “My Advisors”.
- Select the blue “Make Appointment” button.
- A pop up will appear showing the days and times available for advising appointments.
- Click on the date and time that works best for you.
- Advisors are able to set different modality options. You may see an option for in-person appointments, online (Zoom) or phone. Please communicate with your advisor regarding the best modality for you.
- Once you confirm an appointment, you will receive an email confirmation.
- You can view details of your appointment (including the Zoom link information) on the homepage of myUKGPS.
- If you selected Zoom, a start appointment button will appear 7 minutes prior to your meeting time on the homepage of myUKGPS.
If you have any problems scheduling an appointment, please contact your assigned academic advisor via email for assistance. Be specific and take note of any error messages. This will help to identify any scheduling issues.
