A major in STEM Education prepares students to teach grades 8-12 in their chosen content area, including mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry, computer science, or earth science. You will earn a double major in STEM Education and your selected content area. The program provides hands-on experience starting in your first year with a unique transdisciplinary approach to teacher education. Students will complete 200 hours of classroom observations, followed by a full semester of student teaching.
