What can you do with this degree?

With a degree in Kinesiology: Exercise Science, you will take classes that are both academically and physically engaging, preparing you for advanced study or your careers. Our curriculum is designed to give students a solid foundation within exercise science, preparing them for a variety of career paths and pre-professional programs such as Medicine, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Dentistry, Athletic Training, Health and Fitness, Personal Training, Exercise Physiology, and Biomechanics.  

Courses in this major allow you to earn additional certifications. KHP 190 allows students to earn their CPR certification through the American Red Cross, opening opportunities to shadow and work in various health care fields. KHP 350 gives students the opportunity to become Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). KHP 450 prepares students to obtain their personal training certification through the American College of Sports Medicine. Additionally, students are required to complete a practicum course that requires 300 hours  of real world experience.
