Laura Darolia, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
Dr. Darolia joined the faculty in 2017 as an assistant professor. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Loyola University Chicago and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from American University. She taught elementary school in California, Washington, D.C., and Missouri for a total of ten years before pursuing doctoral studies. She earned her Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis on Literacy from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Dr. Darolia’s current interests include teaching elementary social studies methods, supervising student teachers, and creating partnerships with elementary schools.
