Dr. Jena Hinds is a Clinical Assistant Professor in STEM Education at the University of Kentucky, where she teaches mathematics methods courses in elementary education and a quantitative reasoning course. Her work focuses on preparing future educators to create engaging, student-centered learning environments grounded in the science of learning and development. Dr. Hinds’ research bridges physiology, psychology, and education—examining how stress and test anxiety influence academic performance. She developed the Stress Performance Evaluation (SPE) formula, now advancing into an AI-driven platform to identify effective interventions that enhance student well-being and classroom performance.
