Graduate Teaching Assistantships

Kinesiology and Health Promotion graduate teaching assistantships are awarded for the year (August through early May), beginning with the fall semester. If you want to be considered for a teaching assistantship in addition to admission to a KHP graduate program, your online application to The Graduate School, which includes KHP Application materials, should be submitted by January 15th. Assistantship applications are not reviewed until students have been admitted by a program.

Review of applicants will begin January 15th and continue until all assistantships have been filled. Please note that these are competitive and limited in nature. We cannot guarantee funding. We also encourage prospective students to review Graduate School fellowships to see if they might qualify.

In addition, prospective students should be on the lookout for posted funding opportunities through UK Jobs (assistantships may be posted here).
