Rasheed attended The Ohio State University and had the privilege to participate in varsity athletics (wrestling). He participated in many organizations, from religious to athletic, during his time there. In 2017, he graduated with a B.S. in Sport Industry and a minor in business.

He continued his education by attending the University of Kentucky, studying Sports Leadership (M.S.). He served as a teaching assistant for two years in the Department of Kinesiology and Health promotion, graduating in 2019.

In 2022, he received his Ph.D. in Higher Education, with a concentration in Sport Leadership from the University of Kentucky. He is involved in the Lexington community through volunteering with various organizations and coaching wrestling and track at local high schools.

Rasheed has served in various athletic roles, from administration, coaching, management, etc. Most recently, he completed an internship with the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).

Rasheed teaches several undergraduate courses which include management of sport, psychology and sociology of physical education and sport, and history and philosophy of physical education and sport.
