Michael R. Peabody is the Lead Psychometrician at IXL Learning where he leads the team responsible for the operational psychometrics related to formative and interim benchmark assessments. He is also an adjunct instructor for the Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation where he teaches courses on measurement, statistics, and advanced psychometric methods. As an active member of the National Council for Measurement in Education, he was recently chair of the Publications committee and currently serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Educational Measurement. His research addresses many issues related to educational measurement and psychometrics, such as differential item functioning, equating, standard setting, and practice analysis.
