Adam Kho
Assistant Professor of Educational Policy Studies & Evaluation
Adam Kho is an Assistant Professor of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation. His research focuses primarily on using quantitative methods to examine both the intended and unintended consequences of various school reform efforts including school turnaround and transformation, schools of choice, school improvement strategies, and their effects on educators and students.
Kho’s research has been funded by organizations such as the William T. Grant Foundation, the Institute of Education Sciences, and the American Educational Research Association (AERA). His work has been published in Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis (EEPA), Education Finance and Policy (EFP), and American Educational Research Journal (AERJ). Kho is also an affiliate of the Tennessee Education Research Alliance and the Los Angeles Education Research Institute. He previously served as chair of the AERA Innovative School Transformation and Reform SIG and co-chair of the Association for Education Finance and Policy (AEFP) LGBTQ+ Scholars Community Group.
Prior to the University of Kentucky, Kho was an Assistant Professor in the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California. He received his PhD from Vanderbilt University. He previously taught high school mathematics and served as an instructional coach at an alternative school in Atlanta, Georgia.
