Students wishing to enroll in a doctoral program of study with a focus in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) have the option of pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Special Education with an area of emphasis in IECE. The Doctor of Philosophy in Special Education allows for an individualized course of study that is generally completed in four years across fall and spring semesters. Students admitted into the program will work with faculty across the College of Education to ensure that courses and experiences are aligned with the professional goals of each student upon graduation. Given the autonomy provided by our doctoral program, we encourage prospective applicants to setup a time to discuss the program with one of our faculty members. Further information on the doctoral program can be found by reviewing the EDSRC/IECE Ph.D. Manual by clicking the link on the right side of the screen. In addition, we have highlighted professional positions held by recent graduates of the doctoral program.
