The University of Kentucky College of Education is committed to studying and helping to solve the most critical education and health challenges of our time. This requires us as a college to prepare the next generation of teachers, leaders and scholars to understand these issues.
We have nearly 3,000 students in over 70 undergraduate and graduate programs in a wide range of fields, from teaching to rehabilitation counseling, from exercise science to sports leadership. Our graduates consistently receive top honors, and our students are taught by a breadth of experienced, well-respected, and highly-recognized faculty, who have backgrounds in a wide range of issues facing our society.

Our Mission
The College of Education endeavors to expand the knowledge of teaching and learning processes across a broad educational spectrum. The College fosters a culture of reflective practice and inquiry within a diverse community of students, faculty and staff.
As part of a research-extensive university, the College advances knowledge through research. As part of a land grant institution, the College prepares professionals for a variety of roles in educational settings and community agencies and provides leadership in the improvement of the education, health, and well-being of citizens in the Commonwealth, the nation and the world.
