What can you do with this degree?
The Health Education Teacher Education program will prepare you to:
- Teach health education for Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Continue to graduate school in a health-related area
- Pursue work in a community health setting
You can add an optional double major in Kinesiology and Health Education if you're interested in teaching both physical education and health promotion — a major draw for employers.

The Health Promotion program is approved by the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
What you'll study
- 30-hour major coursework
- One or more 18-21-hour University-approved minors
Following completion of coursework, you'll complete a semester of student teaching.
