The College of Education Student Ambassadors promote the College of Education and the University of Kentucky. Ambassadors serve the college and assist with student recruitment events and visits, answering prospective student questions and highlighting majors and opportunities in the College of Education.

Sarah Schrieber

My name is Sarah and I am studying kinesiology in the exercise science program, with a minor in psychology and am graduating in the spring of 2023. I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Other than being a College of Education Ambassador, I am in the Lewis Honors College, a part of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, in the Kinesiology and Health Promotion Club, and very involved with DanceBlue. After graduation, I plan to get a doctorate in occupational therapy and become a pediatric occupational therapist. My favorite things to do in my free time are trying new local restaurants, going on hikes, and hanging out with her friends!

Hey Wildcats! I’m Meghan and I am a senior majoring in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education from Inez, KY. On campus, I am the President of the Kentucky Association of Early Childhood Educators and spends most of my time teaching toddlers at the Early Childhood Lab. In my free time, I like to read, spend time with friends and family, babysit, and try new restaurants in Lexington. After graduation, I plan to attend graduate school at the University of Kentucky with hopes of pursuing a career educating young children.

My name is Courtney Zinsmeister. I am a senior from Louisville, Kentucky studying Kinesiology Exercise Science on a pre-Physical Therapy track, and my minor is psychology. My future goals are going to Physical Therapy School and becoming a Physical Therapist! Some other things I am involved in on campus include UK Dance Ensemble, KHP Club, and pre-PT Student Association. I am also a Group Fitness Instructor for Campus Recreation and Wellness, the President of Exercise is Medicine on Campus, and the Lead Front Desk Ambassador at Transformative Learning. In my free time, I love exercising, being outside, reading, watching Netflix, eating some yummy food, and playing with my dog!

Hi, I’m Abbi Parham! I am a senior studying Secondary STEM Education with an emphasis in mathematics and a minor in statistics. I am from Independence, Kentucky, and I plan to teach after she graduates in May. I love going on adventures, watching all the Netflix original series, reading a good book, and going swimming. I also love mathematics and I hope to create a classroom full of positivity and inclusion. Abbi is excited to meet prospective students and talk about why the STEM education program is the best!

Hey, my name is Harrison Pfeifer and I am from Naperville, IL. I am a Kinesiology major with a minor in Business in the class of 2023. I am a part of the Lewis Honors College, Pre-PT club, and a College of Education Student Ambassador. In my free time, I like to go to UK sporting events, hiking, play board games. My next step in my education is to go to Physical Therapy School after graduation and ultimately become a Physical Therapist!

My name is Kat Rankin. I am a junior majoring in Middle-Level Education and Spanish from Cleveland, OH. I serve on the international outreach leadership team at the Baptist Campus Ministry. I am also a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and the Women’s Network. I enjoy rock climbing, reading, and exploring coffee shops in Lexington. My ultimate career goal would be teaching English to middle schoolers in Latin America!

Hello! My name is Jocelyn Grimsley and I am from Columbus, Ohio! I am a senior double majoring in Health promotion & Community and Leadership Development with a minor in coaching. I am the President of The Black Student Union, Diamond President of UK Club Softball, and Vice President of Underground Perspective. I am in the United States Army and I am in the ROTC program here at UK. I work for UK’s football team and I mentor K-1 students with Common Good Lexington. Once I graduate, I will commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army and my goal is I plan to work with an NFL team as a Player Development Director. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and traveling.

Hello! My name is Grace McCrery, I am a senior from Louisville, Kentucky majoring in Elementary Education. Besides being a College of Education Ambassador, I am also a VP for the Elementary Educators Student Association and a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. I love spending time with my family at the lake and love to binge-watch Grey’s Anatomy with my friends! A fun fact about me is that I’m a huge Kentucky Athletics fan, I love to watch sports!!

Hello! My name is Hannah Bell, and I am from a small town in western Kentucky called Marion. I am currently a sophomore planning to graduate in the spring of 2024. My major is Kinesiology, and I am on the pre-med track. Ultimately, my goal is to attend the UK College of Medicine post-undergrad. While I am not 100% sure what I want to specialize in, I am very interested in obstetrics/gynecology, dermatology, and pulmonology. On-campus, I am involved in Greek life (Phi Mu), the Kinesiology Health Promotion Club, and the Medicats Club. In my free time, I enjoy watching movie marathons, listening to true crime podcasts, and traveling with my family. I look forward to getting to work with everyone in the College of Education and the UK community.

My name is Chad Grider and I am from Russell Springs, Kentucky. I am a senior studying kinesiology with the intention to attend medical school after graduation. At UK I am involved as a student ambassador for the College of Education and I am an intern at the UK cardiac rehabilitation clinic. In my free time, I enjoy watching ball games, working on cars, and fishing. I also enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephew. In addition, I am a lifeguard and the assistant manager at the Joseph Smith Hayes Memorial Pool during the summer.
