Trisha Douin-Manning
Evaluation Specialist
Trisha Douin-Manning, PhD, is an Evaluation Specialist at the University of Kentucky Evaluation Center. She earned her Ph.D. in Applied Sociology from the University of Louisville in 2025 and is an alumna of the University of Kentucky's College of Education Educational Psychology program. Prior to working for the Evaluation Center, she served as a research assistant on a multi-year National Science Foundation grant examining Discipline-Based Education Research implementation and faculty experiences within introductory STEM courses. Within the Evaluation Center, Dr. Douin-Manning serves as the lead evaluation specialist for the Governor's Office of Early Childhood (GOEC) Preschool Development Grant, where she specializes in the use of qualitative methods in the educational and workforce settings. Additionally, she also assisted with the evaluation of the KY-WV Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program for diverse STEM students in higher education. Starting in September 2025, Dr. Douin-Manning will also serve as the Next Gen Scholars Research Affiliate, where she will conduct program evaluation for the Next Gen Scholars Program, assist in developing a research agenda for the high schools around the state of Kentucky that partner with the University of Kentucky for dual credit programs.
