Megan Herdt, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor
Dr. Herdt received her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2025. Her research revolves around work as a social determinant of health from an intersectional perspective. Dr. Herdt studies systemic factors that shape access to workplace dignity, decent work, and precarious work. She also investigates impacts of work conditions on vocational, mental, and physical wellbeing. Dr. Herdt studies these questions broadly amongst workers and also specifically in relation to LGBTQ+ communities. Dr. Herdt teaches classes including Practicum, Social Justice Consultation and Evaluation, and Vocational, Career, and Professional Issues in Counseling Psychology.
