Katie Clontz
Evaluation Specialist
Katie Clontz is an Evaluation Staff member in the Evaluation Center. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation at the University of Kentucky and holds a M.S. in Community and Leadership Development from the University of Kentucky as well as a B.S. in Agricultural Technology Management and Education from the University of Arizona. Katie supports evaluation of education- and occupational safety and health-focused programs across Kentucky and the Appalachian region. She conducts qualitative analysis for theFull Service Community Schools grant and[PE1] evaluates the Southeast Center for Agricultural Health and Injury Prevention (SCAHIP) and I-RED grants, in addition to developing and providing continuing education initiatives for multiple industries through the Central Appalachian Regional Education and Research Center (CARERC). Her background in agriculture helps her understand the unique needs of rural and agricultural communities served by the SCAHIP and CARERC grants. She applies both qualitative and quantitative methods, with a particular interest in social network analysis, to explore interpersonal structures and knowledge exchange.
