About Live Like a Champion
Live Like a Champion is an evidence-informed youth mental health promotion and substance use prevention curriculum from #IChampionHealth. Designed for grades 4-8, this four-lesson series helps students build practical skills for healthy decision-making, coping, help-seeking, positive relationships, navigating influences, and goal-setting.
Lessons use real-world scenarios, relevant examples, creative expression, and personalized tools to help students connect these skills to their own lives. The curriculum is aligned with national and Kentucky health education standards.
Tailored Versions for Kentucky Communities
Each version of Live Like a Champion includes the same core skills, lesson goals, and standards alignment, while adapting scenarios, examples, or discussion prompts to better reflect the needs and interests of Kentucky communities.
These tailored versions are designed to help make the lessons feel relevant, respectful, and connected to lived experiences of youth while maintaining consistency across sites.
If you are unsure which version to choose, consult with your regional champion or contact the #IChampionHealth team at ichampionhealth@uky.edu.
