Robin Jocius is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning. Dr. Jocius serves as the program chair for the Master's with Initial Certification program in English Education and teaches courses in English education and literacy education. She began her career as a high school English and reading teacher in New Orleans before earning a Ph.D. in Teaching, Learning, and Diversity from Vanderbilt University. Prior to joining the UK faculty in 2025, she served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Associate Professor of Literacy Education at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Her research focuses on digital and multimodal literacies, computational thinking integration in K-12 classrooms, and teacher professional development. She currently leads two National Science Foundation-funded projects exploring how teachers learn to infuse computational thinking, AI, and computer science into standards-based instruction.
