Rebecca Powell directed The Center for Culturally Relevant Pedagogy at Georgetown College and is the lead author on the CRIOP. In addition to numerous articles, she has authored or co-edited five books on literacy and diversity, including  A Framework for Culturally Responsive Practices: Implementing the Culturally Responsive Instruction Observation Protocol (CRIOP) In K-8 Classrooms (co-edited with Susan Cantrell).
