Justin Bathon is Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership Studies at the University of Kentucky. He teaches in the doctoral and principalship programs within the Department and contributes to the scholarly base on deeper learning leadership. His primary work at UK is as Faculty Director of the Center for Next Generation Leadership within the College of Education at UK. The Center, Next Gen, seeks to upgrade education in Kentucky by partnering for professional development for leaders, teacher credentials, and dual credit courses for students. Justin was the founding Director of the Next Generation Scholars dual credit program at UK. The Center, collectively, impacts thousands of Kentucky educators and students each year with millions in revenue supporting around a dozen full-time staff.
