Isaiah Moore, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Scholar
Isaiah Moore is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Kentucky and a former lead public school educator. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a graduate of Morehouse College. His research examines how education policies are interpreted and enacted across complex educational systems, with a focus on policy implementation, organizational sensemaking, and cross-sector collaboration. More specifically, his scholarship explores how political and policy contexts shape school–community partnerships, democratic and community-driven schooling, and place-based approaches to educational reform. Through his work, he seeks to advance policies and practices that strengthen educational opportunities and community well-being.
