Christina Larson

Christina Larson is Chair of Humanities and Social Sciences at the American University of Iraq, Baghdad, and has worked in higher education across Iraq, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia for more than a decade. A former K-12 teacher and tour manager, she has built academic programs, recruited international faculty, and written policy for WSCUC accreditation. Her research explores leadership in new and emerging universities, with a focus on institutional culture.
Outside of work, Christina is an avid traveler (94 countries and counting!), film and pop culture lover, and crime/ thriller fiction reader.
