The Counselor Education Programs at the UK College of Education are located within Department of Early Childhood, Special Education and Counselor Education. We are a growing profession, and the need for trained rehabilitation professionals has never been greater. Therefore, we are committed to providing the highest quality rehabilitation counselor education and clinical rehabilitation counseling in mental health programs and have have consistently been rated in the top 10 of rehabilitation counseling programs nationwide.

Our students benefit from our exceptional and nationally recognized faculty, who bring diverse professional backgrounds, research interests, and areas of expertise to the educational experience. We encourage our students to participate fully in the wide range of professional, educational, and research opportunities that we offer. Students also benefit from our strong ties to the local, state, and national rehabilitation community, and from our relationship with the University of Kentucky’s Human Development Institute, Medical Center, and many other University of Kentucky schools, colleges, departments, and programs.
