Ambassadors serve the college and assist with student recruitment events and visits, answering prospective student questions and highlighting majors and opportunities in the College of Education.

Hi Wildcats! My name is Jasmine Akin, and I’m a Senior studying Learning & Behavior Disorders and Elementary Education. I’m SO excited to be part of the College of Education Ambassador team! Outside of classes, you can usually find me involved with CPC College, a local college ministry, spending time with my people, getting lost in a good book, or hanging out at the Lewis House on campus. I’m especially passionate about helping children with disabilities feel truly seen, valued, known, and cared for in every space they walk into. I believe every child deserves to know that they belong, and I hope to one day create spaces and opportunities where that truth is lived out in BIG ways. A few fun facts about me: I will never say no to a good rom-com, a road trip with friends, or a good jam sesh to Olivia Dean!

Hello everyone!!! My name is Joslyn Allen, and I’m a rising senior studying Kinesiology Exercise Science on the Pre- Physician Assistant Track. I’m beyond excited to be apart of student ambassador team for the College of Education! When I’m not in classes, you can find me at Underground Perspective (UGP), Hues In Medicine, or studying in the Seaton Center. After graduating I plan on joining the U.S. Army, and attend PA School to become a Sports Medicine PA! My favorite things to do outside of school are hanging out with friends, going to the gym, dancing, traveling, and playing with my dog Candy. A fun fact about me I used to live in Las Vegas! This year I’m excited to serve as student ambassador for College of Education that’s helped prepare me for my future career.

Hi wildcats! My name is Kylie Armstrong and I am a Senior from Brentwood, Tennessee, studying Secondary English Education. Next year I hope to stay at UK and get my masters. Besides being a College of Education Student Ambassador, I’m involved with the Newman Center, undergraduate research, ADKCC, and am a Chellgren Fellow. I recently finished an internship with McGraw Hill as a K-2 Literary Design Intern. I love to draw, read, go to UK sporting events, workout, and volunteer at the local schools. Hi wildcats! My name is Emily Baber, and I’m a junior studying Elementary Education doing a Pre-Occupational Therapy route. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a member of the College of Education Ambassador team! When I’m not in class, you may find me dancing or running social media for The Lady Legends (a local professional dance team), working with my sorority, Kappa Delta, or spending time in campus ministries like Cru and the Newman Center. I also work for the YMCA as an afterschool teacher, and as a nanny for a few local families. Some UK events that I never miss would be DanceBlue, and any UK basketball/football game!! I enjoy being active both physically and within my community. I am passionate about giving children a safe space where they can be themselves while also being successful in their goals! My career goal is to be a Pediatric Occupational Therapist within the public school system, and in private practice. Children are our future, and I want to give them the opportunity to be independent and live the best life possible. I am from Lexington, so that means I get to spend plenty of time with my family and continue to make an impact in my own community! I am so excited for this year and can’t wait to meet everyone!!
