Minor: Interdisciplinary Disability Studies

Hi friends! My name is Jasmine Akin, and I’m a junior studying Learning & Behavior Disabilities and Elementary Education. I’m so excited to be part of the College of Education Ambassador team! Outside of classes, I’m involved in CPC College, a local college ministry, and I love spending time with my people, diving into a good book, or playing my favorite board game (Monopoly!). I’m passionate about helping children with disabilities feel truly seen, valued, and cared for in every space they’re in. I believe every child deserves to know they belong—and I can’t wait to one day create places/opportunities that reflect that. A fun fact about me: I will never say no to a good rom-com, road trips with friends, or a good walk around the Arboretum!
