Workshop Description
This course is for educators, mental health professionals, and other people in health or human service who seek to build awareness and skills related to anti-racism in their work. Participants will understand racial identity development for White people and BIPOC, and be able to define and recognize three levels of racism, including how to disrupt them. Completion of this course will result in a UK “Antiracist Mindset” badge.
Instructor Bio
Dr. Candice Hargons, Ph.D., is an award-winning assistant professor and licensed psychologist at the University of Kentucky. She studies sex, social justice, and leadership, all with a love ethic. She is also the founding director for the Center for Healing Racial Trauma.
