Students from schools across Kentucky recently came to the University of Kentucky campus to compete in a National History Day contest. It was hosted by the Kentucky Historical Society and the UK College of Education.

Students review displays about historical subjects.

Students competed via exhibits, documentaries, websites, performances, and papers featuring topics related to this year’s national theme, “Conflict and Compromise in History.” UK students volunteered to serve as judges for the elementary, middle and high school students in the competition.
