The What’s Up @UKCollegeOfEd newsletter is sent to all currently enrolled College of Education students. It is used to communicate information relevant to students in the college.

EDUCATION ABROAD FAIR
Interested in learning more about studying or student teaching abroad? Drop in to the Education Abroad Fair from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14 in The Hub of William T. Young Library. Visit the College of Education table to learn about opportunities for Education and KHP majors! Free snacks and t-shirts available! Can’t make it but want to know more? Email Coordinator of International Partnerships Ellie Holliday at eholliday@nulluky.edu.

JOIN KENTUCKY EDUCATION ASSOCIATION
Looking for a way to become more involved? Need a support system of people who share the same passions? UK’s chapter of the Kentucky Education Association Student Program offers professional development hours and networking opportunities, as well as liability insurance for pre-service teachers. KEA also provides tools to become an advocate for public education. This year’s KEA kickoff meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 in the Taylor Education Building auditorium (room 158)!

APPLY FOR COLLEGE OF EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS
The College of Education general scholarship application for Fall 2018 – Spring 2019 scholarship awards is now available online on the Scholarships and Financial Aid page. All applications must be submitted by the deadline to be considered.
Incoming Freshman Application – Deadline Jan.15, 2018
Undergraduate Application (Current/Transfer Students) – Deadline Feb. 15, 2018
Graduate Application – Deadline Feb. 15, 2018

OPEN HOUSE AT THE STUDY
Transformative Learning will be hosting an open house at The Study in the basement of Donovan Hall from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14. Light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served while students learn more about how The Study can help with their academic needs.
