Dr. Melinda Ickes, an associate professor in the University of Kentucky College of Education Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion, recently wrote an opinion piece published in the Courier-Journal and a blog featured on the Youth Engagement Alliance for Tobacco Control website.

Ickes described #iCANendthetrend, an evidence-informed prevention program developed by researchers and students at the University of Kentucky.  The program helps build awareness of the dangers of e-cigarette use, costs associated with nicotine dependence, and ways youth are influenced to use these products.
