Rehabilitation Counseling Sponsors Ethics Seminar

The Graduate Program in Rehabilitation Counseling in the UK College of Education will be sponsoring an ethics seminar on Monday, April 26, 2010. The seminar titled “Good Judgement in Everyday Practice – A Guide to the Revised CRC Code of Ethics” will be held in 309 Robotics Building from 9 a.m. to noon and also will be available live via Internet Broadcast.

Topics to be covered during the seminar include:

  • “Using Good Judgement in Everyday Practice” – Lori McQuade, M.Ed., CRC; mediator-arbitrator and rehabilitation counselor for Rehabilitation Services in Houston, Texas;
  • “Ethical Issues and Rehabilitation Facilities: Everyday is a New Beginning” – Becky McCabe, MRC, CRC; director of rehabilitation services at Opportunity for Work and Learning in Lexington, Ky.; and
  • “Ethical Issues: The View from the State VR Agency” – David Beach, Ph.D., CRC; program planning and development for the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation in Frankfort, Ky.
