Rick is one of the two College Grant Officers, serving as the college liaison with the Office of Sponsored Projects Administration and Research Financial Services. Rick provides pre-award budget development and proposal compliance guidance, post-award grant administration and he leads the internal proposal approval process for his departments.
Rick has worked for the University of Kentucky in some capacity since 1999. Before joining the College of Education in 2022, he was in the same position in the College of Health Sciences starting in 2017. Prior to that, he served as Lead Budget Analyst for the College of Arts & Sciences and also a Research Administrator in OSPA.

In his spare time, he enjoys all things UK Athletics, MLB and Minor League baseball, as well as horseracing. Rick and his wife Kristen have one set of twins – Amelia and Ashford – with another set of twins (both girls) on the way in June of 2022. They also enjoy spending time with their dog, Rosko.
