Dr. Allison Levine is an assistant professor of rehabilitation counseling in the Department of Early Childhood, Special Education, and Counselor Education. Dr. Levine’s research interests include the mechanics of counselor education, including student learning relative to nonacademic professional dispositions, implicit biases towards persons with disabilities, and the use of technology in preservice counselor education. She has worked as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor in psychiatric rehabilitation, and continues to volunteer her counseling skills for veterans and their spouses. Dr. Levine serves on the board of the Rehabilitation Counselors and Educators Association, and is actively involved in promoting improvement and advancement for people living with disabilities.
