Featured speakers include Dr. Thandeka K. Chapman, Dr. Patrick Valdez, Dr. Cecilia Suarez, Dr. Neal Hutchens, and Dr. Vanessa Miller. The webinar is hosted by the Education and Civil Rights Initiative at the UK College of Education.

The mission of the Education and Civil Rights Initiative is to work collaboratively with appropriate partners to further education as a civil right through research, community partnerships, and other innovative and responsive scholarship.

The Education and Civil Rights Initiative envisions a society that affirms the immutable characteristics and intersectional identities of all people, including but not limited to African American/Black, LatinX, Asian American/Pacific Islander, First Nations/Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, Disabled, First Generation, Immigrant, and Veteran populations.
