Rena Goodwin, Graduate of KHP’s Teaching and Coaching Master’s Program, Receives Thesis Award from the American Psychological Association

Rena Goodwin, graduate of KHP’s Teaching and Coaching master’s program (2017) (Co-chairs: Dr. Marc Cormier and Dr. Heather Erwin. Committee member: Dr. Jeff Reese) received the 2018 Society for Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology Thesis Award from the American Psychological Association. Her thesis, entitled Self-Stigma, Attitudes, and Preferences When Seeking Mental Health and Sport Psychology Services: A Student-Athlete Perspective was already an accepted lecture at the annual APA convention in San Francisco. Ms. Goodwin is currently enrolled in the Master’s Program in Counseling at UK and works full-time as the assistant coach with UK Rifle (currently ranked 3rd in the nation).
