Anna Buchanan, Health Promotion graduate student, has designed a program for UK students and young adults as a part of Dr. Mindy Ickes’ KHP 609 class – College Health Promotion. The project, useLEX|moveLEX|fitLEX, promotes physical activity by utilizing free resources in and around Lexington, KY. The goal of the project is to help students explore Lexington’s natural areas while participating in some form of physical activity. The activities for the semester include exploring the Arboretum, biking/running the Legacy Trail, and hiking in the Red River Gorge.
Anna’s blog https://uselexmovelexfitlex.wordpress.com/ provides information about future activities, as well as summaries of past activities. More information about activity dates and times can be found on the blog and the Facebook page
