The UK College of Education made an impact at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) annual meeting in March. Thirty-seven faculty members and students participated in numerous presentations and panels, presenting their research to members of the national organization.
“Research productivity is one of the core missions of the UK College of Education,” Dean James Cibulka said. “AERA is perhaps the major national forum for presenting and discussing research in the field of education. Therefore, it was gratifying to have so many UK College of Education faculty and students in attendance at AERA’s annual meeting in New York City. Many individuals were on the program chairing sessions, presenting papers or acting as a discussant. I hope UK’s presence at AERA’s future annual meetings will continue to grow.”
AERA is concerned with improving the educational process by encouraging scholarly inquiry related to education and evaluation and, by promoting the dissemination and practical application of research results.
