We are happy to announce the new Master’s of Science in Research Methods in Education (MS in RMinE)! Although we already offer two other great master’s programs—one in Social and Philosophical Studies, the other in Higher Education—this MS will be the first to allow students the option to complete the degree entirely online. Those enrolled in the program will be able to select a focused area of emphasis as well: quantitative methods, evaluation, or research design.
The MS in RMinE will cross fields of study within education, drawing from perspectives in policy, sociology, psychology, pedagogy, and history. Developing research knowledge and skills within a problem-of-practice framework, students will learn to apply research methods, techniques, and constructs to real world education settings, issues, and data sets. They will build skills applicable to a range of careers (K-12 teaching, school and district leadership, healthcare, etc.).
We are also excited to unveil the new webpage dedicated to the RMinE certificate and master’s programs. It provides links to student resources, career opportunities, and much more. Click HERE to visit the page.
If you are interested in beginning work on the certificate or MS this summer or fall, you still have time to apply. We are currently accepting applications for these two programs on a rolling basis. More information regarding the MS in RMinE application process can be found HERE, and you can find more about applying for the graduate certificate HERE. For RMinE program inquiries, contact Program Director Dr. Kelly Bradley at kdbrad2@nulluky.edu or 859-257-4923.
