EDP Professor and Student Win UK Provost’s Inclusive Excellence Award

Two of our EDP Super Stars have won the Provost’s Inclusive Excellence Award – Dr. Kenneth Tyler (Educational Psych) and Della V. Mosley (Counseling Psychology)!

They will receive their awards on April 25 at the UK Faculty Award Ceremony.

The University of Kentucky Inclusive Excellence Award recognizes the accomplishments of individuals and teams that demonstrate a sustained commitment to diversity and inclusion through exemplary leadership and campus and community involvement. Recipients should exhibit such efforts through diversity and multicultural programming, culturally competent instruction, research and/or outreach efforts.
To be selected for the award, nominations should be based on exemplary leadership, demonstrated in one or more of the following areas:

-Building awareness, understanding, and relationships in the name of diversity and inclusion

-Creating leadership opportunities, teams, organizations and support systems that promote a diverse and inclusive environment

-Sponsoring or actively promotes programs, initiatives, or projects in the area of diversity and inclusion

-Collaborating with others in the sponsorship, development and implementation of innovative projects and/or programs

-Acknowledging and rewards exemplary individual and team behaviors that promote diversity and inclusion

-Securing funding to promote and sustain programs in response to challenges that can affect the fostering of a diverse and inclusive cultural climate
