Helping Students Develop Advocacy Skills

Blanka Angyal, a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology, was selected by the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students to serve as a campus representative on its advocacy coordinating team. In this role, Blanka will participate in legislative advocacy work that is concerned with the science and practice of psychology. She will provide information and opportunities for Department of Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology students to develop advocacy skills and to address issues that are consistent with the department’s commitment to social justice.
