The University of Kentucky Educational Leadership Studies (EDL) Presentation Scholarship is a great opportunity for students who plan to present a research paper or comparable creative activity at a professional conference. This scholarship provides partial funding support for enrolled master’s, specialist, and doctoral students to share their research at a national / international professional meeting. Students must be a presenting author to receive funds. The Presentation Scholarship is typically capped at $500.
Only enrolled graduate students (specialist, master’s, doctoral) in good academic standing are eligible. The EDL Presentation Scholarship Program is granted to graduate students enrolled in coursework during the term of the presentation.
Only one application per student may be funded for a 12-month period (fiscal year July 1-June 30). If funding is available, a second presentation may be funded. Please check with the Director of Graduate Studies about fund availability.
The student must be delivering a research presentation or comparable creative activity at a professional meeting, with preference being given to those presenting at national and international meetings. Students must be a presenting author to receive funds.
Within 5 days of your return, the student must submit a Presentation Report to the administrative assistant. This should include a cover sheet detailing name, address, student ID, email, name of all presenters, title of presentation, title of conference, and location of conference. Receipts are not required.
Awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so students are encouraged to apply early in the award period.
