EDC 639   TEACHING DIVERSE LEARNERS IN SECONDARY EDUCATION   (1 hour)
 
This course explores the influence of self-concepts and past experiences on current attitudes, perceptions and behaviors; investigates the effects of cultural traditions, political mandates, educational trends and school curriculums on student achievement; and develops strategies to create equitable teaching/learning environments in secondary education that validate, stimulate, and nurture all students.
 
Prerequisite(s):   Admission to M.A. in Education (Secondary Education with Initial Certification).
