College Alumnus Named Jefferson County Exceptional Children Education Teacher of the Year

photo of Renee ScottUK College of Education alumnus Renee Hollinger Scott has been named the Jefferson County Public Schools Exceptional Children Education Teacher of the Year.  Scott has a bachelor’s of science in education in Moderate and Severe Disabilities from the UK College of Education Department of Early Childhood, Special Education and Rehabilitation Counseling. She also has a master’s degree (Ed.S.) in Special Education from the same department. Her thesis was published last year in Education and Training in Autism and Developmental Disabilities.

Scott is currently a special education teacher for Jefferson County’s transition program housed on the University of Louisville campus.
