UK College of Education alumnus Renee Hollinger Scott has been named the Jefferson County Public Schools Exceptional Children Education Teacher of the Year. Scott has a bachelor’s of science in education in Moderate and Severe Disabilities from the UK College of Education Department of Early Childhood, Special Education and Rehabilitation Counseling. She also has a master’s degree (Ed.S.) in Special Education from the same department. Her thesis was published last year in Education and Training in Autism and Developmental Disabilities.
Scott is currently a special education teacher for Jefferson County’s transition program housed on the University of Louisville campus.
