April 26: Colloquium to explore research methods for understanding impact of COVID-19 on student learning

Join the University of Kentucky College of Education for a panel discussion, “An Exploration of Research Methods: Using Different Tools to Understand the Impact of COVID on Student Learning.”

The panel will feature:

  • Dr. Candice Hargons, professor and interim chair, Department of Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology
  • Dr. Jungmin Lee, assistant professor, Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation
  • Dr. Shannon Sampson, associate professor, Evaluation Center Director, Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation
  • Dr. Margaret Mohr-Schroeder, senior associate dean of academic programs and partnerships, Department of STEM Education

The panelists will discuss their methodological paradigm and approaches in an interactive session anchored in the fundamental Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation framework, which is that the research question drives the research method.The session will be hosted and moderated by the Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation’s Dr. Kelly D.
