Institute for Educational Research Staff
Dr. Robert Shapiro is the current director of the Institute for Educational Research, as well as the director of the Biodynamics Laboratory, housed in the Center for Biomedical Engineering. His research interests include whole body biomechanical analysis with special emphasis on injury mechanisms and evaluation of musculo-skeletal function related to orthopaedics.
Faith Cordray, College Grants Officer, is assigned by the Office of Sponsored Projects Administration (OSPA) to the College of Education. She works with the faculty on the various aspects of grant proposal development. She hails from Atlanta, Georgia where she was a contracts officer at the Georgia Institute of Technology and especially budget development and submission requirements with the U.S. Army Environmental Policy Institute. Ms.Cordray has administered grants for most federal agencies. Faith is an alumnus of the University of Georgia, with a B.S.Ed in Secondary English Education.
Tammy Medaris, Administrative Support Assistant, has been with the university since 2003 and joined the IER staff in January, 2009. She works closely with Principal Investigators (PI’s) in providing post-award grant and contract management services including project planning, budgeting and account administration. She provides liaison with the College Grants Officer, SPA and OSPA to ensure that projects administered by IER are in compliance with pertinent agency and University rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
