Courses & Curricula Committee

Function:
Reports to faculty; reviews all proposals for new courses, changes in courses, new programs of study, modified programs of study, and degree programs; may, on its own initiative, study existing programs; studies each proposal, consults with appropriate departmental representatives, and makes a recommendation to the faculty; prepares a written statement, where the proposal is not supported, explaining the basis for objections and distributes this statement to the college faculty a week prior to the appropriate faculty meeting.

Membership:
One member representing each department, elected by departments for a 3-year term; the Associate Dean for Academic Programs, Accreditation, and Planning shall serve as a member, ex officio.
