Early Childhood, Special Education Doctoral Candidates Receive National Honors

Congratulations to UK College of Education doctoral candidates Mark Samudre, Collin Shepley, and Megan Jones.

Samudre, a doctoral candidate in special education, and Shepley, a doctoral candidate in interdisciplinary early childhood education, were selected as outstanding scholars through an internationally competitive process to participate in the Council for Exceptional Children’s Division for Research Doctoral Student Scholar program.

Jones, a doctoral student in special education, was invited to attend the 2019 Higher Education Consortium Short Course in Washington, D.C., focusing on educational policy.

The doctoral students are part of the Department of Early Childhood, Special Education, and Rehabilitation Counseling in the UK College of Education.
