High Definition Debuts in Taylor Auditorium
Spring gave the UK College of Education Instructional Technology Center an opportunity to upgrade the projector and podium in the Taylor Education Auditorium. ITC installed a new brighter, Hitachi High Definition Projector in place of the older Epson projector. The rearranged podium places the Smart Panel and 23” Lenovo HD Computer on the desktop along with the podium microphone. The renovation simplified operation of controls and provided improved sound quality for audio-video applications. The 16 X 9 format in the auditorium and upgraded classrooms is a significant benefit because the image is higher on the screen and is easier to see. High Definition, or HD as it's known, uses the 16 X 9 video format, similar to digital broadcast TV. It provides better resolution and clarity.
