Welcome to the webpage for the undergraduate programs in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion (KHP). The Department offers undergraduate degree programs in Kinesiology/Exercise Science and Teacher Certifications in Kinesiology (Physical Education) and Health Promotion (Health Education). The courses offered within these undergraduate degrees provide educational opportunities that are both intellectual and physical. The programs integrate materials learned in a classroom setting that can be applied in practical field experiences. Major course experiences cover proper methods used in teaching P-12 health and physical education, biomechanics, exercise physiology, nutrition, sports, etc.. Graduates with degrees in KHP are employed in areas such as physical education, health education, physical therapy, sports leadership, fitness specialties (e.g., personal trainer, strength and conditioning, etc), and various health professions.
