Research Opportunities

The graduate program in Exercise Physiology offers research opportunities in a variety of areas. Applied research projects are ongoing within the community and throughout campus laboratories. Specific areas of interest include total body and regional body composition assessment, cardiovascular and endocrine function, physical activity and energy expenditure assessment, and training interventions for pediatric and aged populations, local firefighters, and public school faculty and staff.

Students entering the graduate program in Exercise Physiology are strongly encouraged to become involved with research projects to enhance their professional growth and to become knowledgeable consumers of research.

Students should consult with individual faculty members to learn how to become more involved in a specific research project. Please peruse the research links to learn details of past, present, and future research projects conducted by UK faculty members in Exercise Physiology
