CAMCORDER CHECKOUT POLICY
As a part of the Instructional Technology Center's service to the College of Education, the ITC provides a limited number of camcorders for checkout based upon:
- the nature of the ITC's mission to the College of Education,
- the number of requests we receive for camcorder checkouts,
- the sensitivity and potential damage of camcorders (thus repairs), and
- the need for accountability and protection of UK property,
The Instructional Technology Center has the following policy for camcorder checkout:
- Camcorders may be checked out by College of Education faculty members for College of Education classroom utilization and/or class purposes. All camcorder checkouts MUST be arranged by a College of Education faculty member or staff person for some type of COE use. We do not check out camcorders for individuals in other colleges or groups.
- When camcorders are needed for COE class utilization, students may check out camcorders for College of Education students when:
- the faculty member makes the request for a student to use a camcorder
- the student assumes responsibility for the equipment
- Camcorders may be checked out by COE staff members for COE classroom utilization and/or class purposes when the staff member is serving as instructor or demonstrator for a COE class.
- COE faculty and staff can checkout camcorders for COE projects, functions, and/or research.
All exceptions to the policy must be authorized by the Director.
