The Center offers local education authorities (LEA), schools, and individual educators an expansive array of research-based instructional modules, programs, workshops, and conferences through which they can earn continuing education units (CEU) and Effective Instructional Leadership Act (EILA) credits; however, local school policies will govern PD hours awarded for participation in CPD courses.

The Kentucky Legislature made provisions in KRS 156.101 (1) to "encourage and require the maintenance and development of effective instructional leadership in the public schools of the Commonwealth and to recognize that principals with the assistance of assistant principals, supervisors of instruction, guidance counselors, and directors of special education have the primary responsibility for instructional leadership in the schools to which they are assigned." However, the 2002 General Assembly approved revisions to 704 KAR 3:325, Section 4 (2) that now states, "An instructional leader may count attendance at education conferences up to twelve hours of credit per training cycle." Thus, beginning with the 2002-2004 EILA cycle, a maximum of twelve hours conference credit may be accrued during the entire two-year period. As there is no longer a provision for hour-for-hour credit to be awarded, conferences are no longer issued approval numbers.
